She Puts Me To Shame

Artists are a dime a dozen in my family. Artists, Photographers and Writers abound. I myself spent most of my youth devoted to drawing and painting.

My gosh, it's been eons ago that I posted pics of some of the work I've done...Art (linked to old post). I'll admit, I worked very hard to get my technical skill down.

But, I tell ya'll what...I do believe my kiddo has me beat, hands down, in the naturally talented department...

Meg isn't quite finished with this charcoal. She still has some shading to finish on the edges. But, WOW! I cannot wait until we get this back and I can get it matted and framed. You can bet if I am short of wall space, one of my paintings will go in the closet and Meg's will take it's place.

Wow - nice work!! There is a smidge of artistic talent in my family, but it missed me, unfortunately!!

that's beautiful! Good for her, I always wished I could be an artist of some sorts!

Excellent work! I have always been envious of my mother and brother, because they have a natural talent for drawing and painting. They make it look so easy. I couldn't even fill in one of those Scantron tests with bubbles in school without making a mess. Over the years I've tried to get my art fix through writing, fabric arts and now photography. I don't really have the time or patience for writing and fabric arts anymore, so I'm focusing on photography. But I know if I'm going to get better with that, I'm going to have to slow down.

Very talented indeed, the talent brush missed me but you can sure see that Meg got a good stroke on the way by.

I could see Meg growing up and doing art or other creative things for a living. She kind of has that personality. I think she kind of hesitates to go that direction but I keep telling her she needs to do something in life that she enjoys. Life is both too long and too short to not spend it doing exactly what makes you happy.

LOL-Look at me, I've done exactly what I wanted to my entire life and it's all worked out okay. ;-)

Meg is extremely talented and since she won't do vet school, maybe she should stick with art :)

Not only is she talented, but she's a doll and I adore her - thanks for sharing her with us.

Wow! I'm impressed! She really has the eye and I love the border. She could really go somewhere with her art if she has the passion for it. Good job Meg :)

Megs rocks ;)

Wish I had a good picture of old Jack- I'd love to see what she could have done with that rotten old horse.
