Mom can I play with this toy? I'll be gentle, I promise. I just want to hear it sing... Ummmm...Excuse me...That is MY toy!! Its okay monkey, I saved you...
And so goes the day when the weather is bad and you are stuck inside.
Poor little Ute is so gentle with his toys and Red Dog just destroys them. So anytime Ute sees RD with his singing monkey-he has to take it away and lick it like a momma. Ute loves toys that sing. He will hold them in his paws and gently bite and turn until he finds the thing that makes it sing. Then he stares at it with the cutest expression on his face. When it stops he will gently bite it again. He will play for quite some time like this. Unfortunately, RD is not as gentle and when he finds the singie thing, he bites it hard. He has broken all of Ute's singing toys this way. Yesterday, he killed the singing monkey too. Ute tries to make it sing and when it won't he brings it to me. The expression on his face is just as clear as if he was asking me in words to please fix it.
