Since it didn't really dawn on me until after we left to ask MM if it was okay to post our trail riding photos...Ya'll know MM is a little camera shy...Here's a few photos of the beautiful fall scenery Meg and I got to drive through. The weather, took a rather sudden change the day before we left. The fall rains started. The temps have stayed reasonable though. Sure makes for some beautiful clouds...

It Was The Best Time Ever
We had an absolutely fabulous time at Allenspark Lodge this weekend. GunDiva and her family are absolutely lovely people and so kind and gracious. Thank you all so much for letting Meg and I intrude on your weekend with Mrs (and Mr) Mom.

Certainly looks like beautiful country. Please say yes Mrs Mom!!!!We would love to see pics
Yep, we gotta have those pics!
Bet you had fun. *snork* maybe that is an understatement
MM has been great help to me figuring out what ails my oldster. Honestly, it looked like we might have to put her down, but MM advised me to listen to what the horse had to say. That and some more thoughtful trimming and the old girl is cantering and bucking - in her own way. Yay Mrs Mom!

Those trail ride shots are too incredible NOT to share. Some of that scenery .... wow!!!
You 2 have no idea how much Dear Husband and I enjoyed getting to SEE you to talk, instead of burning up the batphone ;)
Big hugs to yas both!!!! Talk with ya soon!
(PS- I already miss the dry air out there. And well, everything else!)
wow those are pretty. Sounds like a lot of fu n.
wow looks like a beautiful place!
It was wonderful meeting the two of you. Boy, THAT sounds painfully formal. You gals are great and welcome back to our home any time!
(love Meg's thumbs up pic)
Bill
Wow, I read Oh Horse Feathers and it sounds like you all had such a great time! Scenery is beautiful!
LOL Yeah Bill you gotta loosen up some ;) muwhahahahahaha cause NOW we all know the REAL you!!!!!
Well, I can't thank Megan enough for taking my Jesse Mustang for a spin! She's a handful and does not tolerate wannabe riders well (except me, of course!). I was so glad to hear about all the fun that was had racing around with the other horses. Jess doesn't get to do that much and it did her a WORLD of good. I only wish Megan was closer, so they could go out to play more often.
This is a wonderful mother-daughter duo and we feel honored to have had them as guests in our home. You know where the Mustangs are, ladies, any time....and I want to see those pictures. Everyone was so bundled up, nobody is recognizable, anyway.

Looks to me like you got an approval on those pics so post 'em quick afore she changes her mind!
That's some beautiful scenery- glad it was a good trip.
Oh. My. God. You two were a hoot! I had such a blast hanging out with you and was super sad you had to leave on Sunday. But now you know where to find us and we can always do it again.
Besides, you'll have to come visit that kid of yours when she's wrangling for Compass next summer.
I'll get my post up tomorrow or Thursday, I hope. Thanks for helping distract me this weekend, I sorely needed it.
