Prom Night

Sometimes it seems that living with a teenage girl has to be the most frustating experience e.v.e.r!

But on nights like tonight...she does a momma proud!!

Megan and Carson, her date(boyfriend too, or so I'm told)...

Lisa, Megan and Brittney...

Fabulous "do's"...
(Megan had to go in at 11:30 this morning to get her hair "did"...with all the rain today, it was looking a tad frizzed by prom time, but I still thought it was beautiful)

Charlie's Angels???...

Ummm NO...more like Charlie's hell raisers!

Soooo...do ya think she looks like me?
Poor kid!

Okay, FINE! I'll stop with the pictures...
Ornery turds!

The parents got to watch the Grand March and then they kicked us out! It was time for the kids to enjoy the rest of the evening without all of us oohhing and aahhing over how beautiful all the girls looked and how handsome the boys were. Thankfully, I don't have to worry about the "after" prom celebrations, like my mom did. The school provides a non-alcoholic after-prom party for the kids to attend that lasts ALL NIGHT!

First off your daughter is beautiful! And OMG you guys could have cleaned up at some mother/daughter look-a-like contests!

I love that color dress she is wearing too. Oh, and she has the exact same gorgeous olive color skin as my sister- a tone that as a pink person I have always envied! LOL

PS- LOVE the necklace you are rockin'!!

You both look great :)

And not to burst your bubble, but alot of those "non-alcohol" functions end up with some booze.
(I know ours did)
But then again I'm sure Megan's learned her lesson from that little party she had when she was left home alone! lol

Awww, fun :D I never got to go to my proms, or homecomings for that matter :( They were always landing on the same date as a rodeo.

Wow- look at her.... awesome!

I agree w/ SunnySD-- you two look more like sisters than Mom and Daughter!

Hope she had a blast!

She looks fabulous! Just like her mama! That kind of made me miss my high school dances! ;) What a great idea by the school to do the all-night party. Brilliant!

Oh the sweet memories!! I loved Prom. The dresses, the hair, the boys!! Oh so much fun!! I love Megan's Dress! So pretty. And she didn't do too shabby with the "boyfriend" of hers, hee hee. We had an after prom activity put on by our school too. It was a lot of fun.

And you two do look a lot a like.

Absolutely beautiful!! I would have been tearing up like a ninny for sure. Times sure have changed since my prom days...firstly, totally agree with you about the mom worrying about the after-prom party (my momma did need to worry), so it's good that the school is doing this. Good for you anyway, we sure did have fun. :) Secondly, my generation completely missed out on the fancy dresses and beautiful up-do's. We were in the "hippy/druggie" era of long, straight hair, Laura Ashley pioneer woman looking dresses. What a pisser!
Congratulations momma and sure hope your girl has fun!
