Cleaning Up The Loma Ranch

Remember the 1/2 torn down barn at the Colorado house?

It's all gone!!
With the help of a skidsteer...
Look at all the room!
The addition of a one car portable garage makes for a great place to store the Mule, the lawn mower and all the odds and ends...
I can't believe how much difference getting rid of that barn and corral in the middle of the property made. Now there is room for the new shop and a portable barn with corrals!! A huge step forward toward getting this place like we want it.

looks like the dirt will be good to ride in too. Might save a fortune in footing (hard to tell by the pictures) Let us know what it is really like!

Isn't it great when you get another step toward what you want things to be like!

Looks vastly different!

Wow~looks great! Way to go!

Glad you got some relief for your back! Amen........and we all take things we don't need to! Hubby used to take Banamine for aches and pains, especially if he got hurt at the rodeo! Use DMSO, furazone, etc, etc. Glad it worked for you!

My Honey did a great job.

I really did mean to get a lot of pictures of surrounding area when I was there. The Grand Valley is mostly irrigated and the Loma area produces most of the hay for the surrounding area. Lots and lots of fields and horses, still a few cows. Some people raise elk and there are lots of odds and ends, llamas, goats, etc.

The ground around there is good riding ground too. It's mostly sandy with some clay. Really nice when dry, but it can be slick when wet. Your basic desert dirt-LOL.

Good job Honey!!

Hey!! We need to do an Old Fashioned Portable Barn Raisun! LOL!! If we do it before Thurs, I can be there! That is the only day I work, oh and Friday. I can leave Sat, and come back on Wed. Think we can finish the pitcher of margarita..I mean barn by then!

PS Then I can show you how to fix the "date" on your camera!!
