QC Run

Looky, looky...pretty good hands...

I'd like about 5 more runs, just like this before Moon decides to start running hard again. That 1/2 a second I know we need to take off of our time is right there for the taking, but this is where we're comfortable and I don't want to mess it up. :-)

Thanks for the video Cindy D.!!!

You both look awesome. How's the new saddle seat working out?

I didn't get it done yet. I was supposed to take it in last Monday, but instead spent the next 2 days getting the trailer repaired. By the time I could get away, I needed the saddle again. Now he's booked up again for a couple of weeks. So hopefully I'll get that taken care of soon. Still feel a little loose in my saddle, but he's not slinging me around like he was before. Funny how that works when you remember to use your legs to hold on. Lol. ;-)

I agree- more videos!
Looking good- Moon looks like he was just loping but I bet it didn't feel like that. Bet he could take it up another gear! The run looked pretty smooth.

LOL...No it doesn't feel like he is just loping that's for sure. But that's the Moon phenomena...When he doesn't look like he is running is when he is clocking. He's got more to give, mostly in fluidity, not effort, because only when he is running with what looks like this little effort does he make time.

On this run, I'd say we lost the most time getting to and around the 1st barrel. When I checked him way back from the 1st barrel, he governed down and wasn't running, so I'd say we lost a couple, maybe three 10ths just getting to the barrel and then another 10th or 2 getting around the barrel because he was stiff going into it and ended up taking an extra stride on the backside. And we probably lost a 10th getting into the 3rd turn because he really wanted to rate down there and start leaning to early there. So even on the conservative side, I can see at least 4 10ths we will easily be able to shave off. Being able to see so easily where we lost time makes me happy because that means we aren't just getting outrun. :-)

Aaaaaand I'm counting down until we read the breakdown here, second by second of the run... Just kidding. Maybe? LOL!

You looked good out there. Hands nice and quiet, everything working like it should and what's not to love? Sounds like it is all making sense and coming together for you. Way cool

LOL...Well, don't hold your breath CNJ. There is never much to say when it just feels pretty good. A little here and a little there, like I mentioned in the above comment, but other than that, what is there to say?

He ran around the 2nd barrel like I have been trying to get him too and I fixed him at the 3rd barrel. Mission accomplished. :-)
