Photos From Westcliffe Rodeo

Awww...A photographer that was at the Westcliffe rodeo was kind enough to contact me and send me pictures he took. His name is Verl Luppes.

A little off kilter after slipping on the first barrel...

Photo looks a whole lot better than what it felt like..

I don't consider myself to be terribly photogenic, but I do like this one...

Will be loading the boys up tomorrow morning and heading Durango for a Friday night run, Saturday it's back up to Norwood to run there. I will be working my way home on Sunday. There is an NBHA double header in Delta. Looks like Spooks will be Moon's traveling buddy for the weekend.

Have a great weekend everyone. :-)

I love that last pic, you look intense. Pretty, but intense.

How do you like those boots you have on Moon's fronts? I personally don't think they fit as nice as say, Professional Choice ones do and when I clicked to make the photo bigger it looks like they're gaping on Moon's legs.

Good luck this weekend!! :)

Funny you should say that...these front boots are the ones I have used on Moon all year (I did find them in the trailer) and I like them. I also have a pair of Professional Choice front boots that I do not like. They are just don't strap down smoothly. However, the Pro Equines are stretching out...so I don't really know what to say about them either.

I was polo wrapping Moon's hinds, but he seems to prefer these junky old skid boots I keep for emergencies. Megan lost my good pair of Professional Choice skid boots and bell boots.

I had bought another pair of bell boots, but Moon ripped one off at the gate and the other one went flying at 1st barrel...They were the Pro Equine ones...Not happy with them. :(

I have been wanting to buy a set of Iconoclass boots...but we are giving them away as awards this year, so am waiting to see if Spooks wins me a set before I splurge. ;-)

great pictures, it's always nice when someone is taking pics of you without you knowing and then shares them! Moon is such a beautiful horse! Good luck the rest of the week/end!

Hmmm... what colour/size are those pro choice boots?

I'd like a set of Iconoclast too, but they're kinda spendy (at least around here)

You may not think you are photogenic, but the candid shots always seem to turn out the best.

I like the second one. Too bad we can't click on a thumbs up or something. lol

Kick ass this weekend, my sista from anotha motha!

Not photogenic. Puh-leeze. Girl, you are GAW-GEOUS! ;)

Nice shots though. I love seeing you and Moon (or the other horses) in action! The dirt flying behind Moon in the first shot is cool as all get out.
Cant wait to hear how the weekend goes!!

Good luck today in Norwood! I was impressed with how well Moon handled the lake at the second barrel last night in Durango. I have learned so much about running barrels from your posts that it will be interesting to see if my perception of your run is anything close to what you were feeling and seeing.

Wow girl, I should be so 'not photogenic' haha! Beautiful shots, and a nice job of continuing the ride after such a scary slip. That horse looks like a rocket!

Can't wait to hear how your weekend goes, good luck.

That last photo is wonderful. i really enjoy hearing about your adventures with barrel racing, which I have never tried. Did spend many years team roping, though.
