Below is from the sitting room...
And then there is this mess...
My Honey put his cat's tree in the middle of the sitting room. I rolled my eyes at that, but it doesn't really matter until I get the bookcase done and can get those piles of books and nick-nacks put away. That will give me room to move the cat tree into the corner. I had originally thought I wanted to repeat the red/marbled look behind the bookcase, but I'm almost thinking I would rather do a chocolate sueded look. The bookcase will be knotty pine to match the kitchen cabinets. I really want to get the last few indoor projects done up before the weather gets nice outside. I have major plans for redoing the outside of the house and cannot wait to get started on those.

Dude.. if I had *half* the talent for design and building that you do in your little finger.... I can't wait to see the wall and book case.
That fireplace is beautiful. You'd best curl up in front of it for me too ;)

I can see a bookcase on that wall and I can see that you NEED a bookcase there. It'll look great.
We had built ins on the farm in Oregon in the office. *sigh* I miss that house!
Here, I had to buy a metric ton of cheap, Walmart bookcases for my husband as he has a lot of books (I have a lot too) and we were on a budget. Fortunately, the Walmart bookcases are sturdier than their Target counterparts. Oh, and I still don't have enough bookcases.
*sigh* Maybe next house...
