Blurring The Lines

Seems lately country music has been blurring the lines with a little hip-hop sound. Colt Ford, Sunny Ledford, The Lacs and even Luke Kaufman has a song called Rank Riders Anthem that have distinctive hip-hop overtones.

I like it.

Here's the video of one of my current favorites...It's the first song on the video...Kickin' Up Mud by The Lacs...

(Sorry, couldn't get the html adjusted, this tag looks different than I remember the others looking...But thanks for the advice.)

PS-If ya haven't heard of Luke Kaufman yet (that would be a miracle because I always seem to be the last person to hear about new music-LOL), you can listen to his music here...Luke Kaufman. I'm pretty sure Rank Riders Anthem is destined to become every bull rider's anthem. I also like 'Stuck At The Bar'...(giggles)...It reminds me of My Honey when I met him. Stuck at the bar with a stripper on his arm...LMAO! No Joke!

Mmm-Kay, been thinking about those 7 things for the blogger award in2paints gave me a few days ago. I'll have that up for the weekend. ;-)

I think this crosses a line not blur it:) They need to make a new catagory all together. Like Cowboy rap or something. Thanks for sharing:) I will have to show eric this. Oh and to change the size just got to edit post and click edit html tab and then where the video embeded words are just change the width and height numbers usually two spots to change it and then it will make it smaller. Just so you know:)

I like! Fun!

You have to change the size of the video in the HTML code. I think you can set it to use the same size each time. Can't remember how though so I'm worthless at the moment.

Ummmm it's interesting? ;-) Anything that you can listen to and makes you feel good is good music.

I have no idea who Luke Kaufman is, so I guess that makes me the last to know. LOL

When I met Dave he was hanging on the bar, no stripper though, a bowling ball was part of the picture. LOL

Well...thank God we're all allowed a difference of opinion...no offense...but, I had to turn it off after about 30 seconds!!! Can't stand that stuff...and I can't really listen to the "new country" 'cause it's not country IMHO!!! And, BTW, I've never heard of any of those guys ;~)

But, those guys are some CRAZY mudders!!!

I'm afraid Gary Allan’s customized, PBR-themed rewrite and re-recording of his hit “Get Off on the Pain" has already gotten the bull riding bucks. Sort of like Hank Williams, Jr. and his Monday Night Football theme.

I love this! Especially the video - yall, that's what riding in Memphis is like. Nowhere to ride your horse except down trails like that with dudes on four wheelers coming and going. I sure don't miss the mud... but it was good times.

BEC, if you like country crossover stuff, check out Gangstagrass - they're just like they sound, bluegrass + gangsta rap. This is their best song:
