Holy Moly-The barrel racing was wild last night and not in a good way! So were some of the other events-lots of bobbles in the calf roping, misses in the team roping and honestly I thought most of the bucking horses were too fat to buck worth a hoot. Taos Muncy had an awesome SB ride...his horse wasn't so fat as the rest.
A good majority of them were first timers.
CGtCG-It's usually on ESPN or ESPN2. It started at 8pm(MST). They used to show a rerun the next morning.
AK-I don't know. I always like Mary Burger and Rare Fred. I love Martha, but do not care for the snot riding her. Sheri Cervi is a fabulous horsewoman.
But if I have to pick someone to root for...it's always going to be for my fellow South Dakotan...Lisa Lockhart. And as always, I have to root for the rest of them as well. SD has always produced some of the best saddle bronc riders.
I have the weirdest coverage... it plays in the afternoon the next day! Still worth watching though. Can you imagine what's going through Sue Smith's head?? (think I've got the right lady) She set out to season her young horse, hit 31 rodeos and qualified for her first ever NFR!

we are to and will be for as long as it is on.
It is always so good.
My goal one day is to get to go to this! There always seems to be something stopping me...
OHH I am missing it!! When is it on and where?!?! Can you tell I haven't watched TV for months LOL!!
I went once when I lived in NV. Sure is a lot of fun, and the "scenery" is great LOL. Sorry you didn't get to go.
Oh, I'd love to see it. Thanks for the heads up, I'll have to try to find it on TV. I'm really out of the loop though.

Oh and I forgot...I have actually been to the NFR once...which is why I would love to go back.;)
Who's your favorite in the barrel racing? Jordan Peterson has some big shoes to follow.
I missed the first part. Were there as many first time qualifiers in the other events as the barrel racing?
