My Honey had asked me earlier in the week if I wanted to go on the annual Harley Owners Group(HOG) Toy Drive. I was rather thinking I was going to make it to the last barrel racing on my list for this year. Since I spent the week putting out fires in the office and only got to see the horses just long enough to clean stalls, I told My Honey that I would Luuuvvvv to go with him on the ride.
Little did I know...
It was a brisk 16 degrees when we left this morning. We were layered and leathered up to the hilt. It didn't help. We froze our asses off.
But it was still fun...
There were over a 1000 people who registered for the ride. Obviously this is only a tiny portion...
They figured over 700 bikes made the jaunt from the Harley shop to the drop-off point...
There will be lots of toys for kids who otherwise might not get anything for Christmas. Makes suffering the cold for a few hours all worthwhile!!

what a great cause! Dang, 16 degrees! Not cool!
There is a bunch of riders that also do a toy drive here in Ca on Harleys. Lil Mama and I were in a small Gold Rush town a few years ago shopping, when they all came through with their toys. It took a full 10 minutes for the whole lot of them to drive loudly through town~ what a sound! Lil Mama was beside herself( she and her Hunter used to ride)
They did a toy drive here yesterday too. I hear it had fantastic turn out despite the rain in the morning!
Love how that Big Bad Biker image melts away when you see some burly guys pulling up with toys on their bikes....hehehe
Hope you two are warmed up now!
Awesome!! But brrrrrr....
Good for you for braving the weather for such a good cause.
Now that is some real dedication! Looks like it was a fun day though!
Oh, and my husband has been glued to the tv too for the NFR!
I have SO much admiration for the Bike groups that organize these deals!! They are awesome and such a blessing to so many people!!! So thank you for passing a great blessing to someone!! I'm sorry you froze your a** off!! I hope it's grown back by now! ;)
What a great cause! I'm very impressed - you must be hard core! I won't even go out of my house when it's that cold, let alone get on a bike! Glad it was a success.
