Yes, it's that time again!
Time for me to change out of my cowgirl clothes and don my biker chick wardrobe.
But, it's that very, VERY special time of year, when it's not just changing my boots and slipping on my leather jacket.
This time, I get to go A.L.L out and pull out various bits of wardrobe that are entirely unacceptable to wear. Things that a woman my age should not be wearing.
But items that are not only accepted...but mandatory! Hehehehe-that's my excuse and I am sticking to it!

It's none other than the "granddaddy of them all"...The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally!!!
The bikes have been rolling through for days. The interstate is bumper to bumper in the west bound lane!
You see lots and lots of things...
Hmmm, what do you think? Doctor? Or lawyer?
See, there is a mandatory dress code...
God Bless America!!!

When we went on our road trip to see my OH's grandparent's around 6 yrs ago, we made a trip through SD and we had to take a drive through Sturgis. There was nothing going on at the time, being it was only June, but we did get picture's of the Sturgis liquor store! We just had to do it, to say we had been there!
Have fun! Hope you take lots of pictures!
OH MY Goodness LOL!!! Now you have a good time!! Can't wait to see pictures!!!
I wouldn't want to have to pull that tape off later.
Have a great time!
take lots of pictures!
have fun!! ;-)
I would love to go!!! Have fun
LMAO! If you wear that last outfit, I surely want to see the pictures!!! *big grin*
You go girl and have an awesome time. Take tons of pics, scream yourself silly and drink till you fall down :)
I'm so jealous :)
There are quite a few locals around here who head off to Sturgis, and the tales that they tell....Sheesh!!!
Have a great time!!!! :)
We drove out to Montana waaaaay back when and it was around Sturgis time. I saw things I definitely had never seen before and biker groups it seemed a mile long. It was really cool and we weren't even any part of it!! I love watching the specials on tv about it and I hope you take TONS of pictures and tell us all about it (every. last. detail.) Can't wait!! Have a GREAT time!!!
ha! My son is going and he's the most Un-biker kid ever. He's a roadie for a band playing there. I looked at the schedule of events and after a little bit I decided there are some things Mom just doesn't need to know, ya know?
Have fun and stay safe!
I have heard lots of stories about Sturgis also. The guy w/the horns looks like my neighbor, but my neighbor is a Texas Longhorn!!!!
It might be sad that I'm not shocked my "miss america" I've seen much worse. Her tape is giving much more coverage that some of the actual stickers I've seen. We all know how long stickers actually stick, lol. Anyway Sturgis is always awesome, even when not in rally mode. The belt sander races are my favorite! Also if anyone is ever traveling though there, Sturgis Vet Clinic has one hell of a vet.
Did anyone else notice "Miss America's knees? Hmmm.
Sure does look like fun. We sold our bike. The only thing like that I ever went to was Street Vibrations in Reno. So much fun I can't remember a lot of it.
That's a lot of bikes in one place! Be good girlfriends!
Have fun! That's all I can say! Oh, and stay safe!
While I haven't been to Sturgis I've been to Bike Week in Daytona Beach when I was in high school. Oh my goodness. Outlaws on one side of the street and Hell's Angels on the other. The very nice DBPD asked me and my girl friend to please not walk on the double yellow line that separated the two groups!
Hey! I thought that photo of me was destroyed a long time ago!
Hahah!
Not really! I have blonder hair! Hahaha!
Have a great time!
You'll have a blast!! Sounds like a great place to have the camera in tow!! Make sure and take lots of pics for those of us who will be living vicariously through you on this trip. And, yes I did notice Miss America's knees too. What has she been doing?? hee hee hee!!! Don't forget to include pics of your hot motorcycle momma outfit too!! Have fun!!
That there is a woman after my heart!
