Cdn-LOL-He does! Maybe Meg and I did our job too well. That is one people oriented horse.
CGTCG-Sorry. I couldn't resist. He's changed since I posted the last pics of him. That is the long awaited(he was a month overdue), much anticipated(he is the first foal from our new stallion and the last foal out of my best mare EVER), never to be underestimated(he's Moon's 1/2 brother), one and only SHITTER...ummm I mean Shooter.;)
MM-LMAO! I told you my mom had "magic" grass.
Sue-A year sure flies by. He's 13 months old now and I'm guestimating a little over 14H. I just keep hoping he doesn't get too big, but it's really hard to tell with him. He has never really hit a gangly yearling stage. He just looks like a little horse and keeps getting bigger.
OMG what are you feeding that guy!! Shooter looks HUGE!! I need to send some of my babies up there to eat some of your Mom's magic grass!! Dang girl, he is going to be one nice boy!!!
what a lovely little man! But can I just say that (Rip?) that bay roan standing beside him looks freaking adorable.... his face is like, "Damn them yearlings! I want lovin too! Hey...girly! Over here! You-who!"
Horse Crazed-LOL...you hit the nail on the head about the roan. That is Blue, the "other blue, not quite blue" roan. And he freaking LOVES Megan. Has since he and her were babies together. He's a great babysitter for Shooter, but boy does he feel neglected when Shooter is getting the loving. Of course, he still gets his share. Megan is quite fond of the big lug.
Andrea-growing babies is my mom's specialty. Everyone asks her what she feeds them. She just smiles a little and says "Oh, grass and a little oats." And that is the truth, but they are never without grass hay in front of them either. Mom doesn't believe in feeding growing horses alfalfa. Says it messes up their bones. Actually, she doesn't believe in feeding hardly any alfalfa to anything. I don't argue or debate her feeding program with her...because it obviously works.;)
Melanie-He is such an ornery little turd. Pushy, demanding and in your face. He is just like his big brother Moon. I love it! But I do think Shooter is going to be faster than Moon. Man oh man-does this colt have a stride on him.

Wow, he's grown!! A LOT!! He looks great!
He looks like a nice, quiet, gelding...is that why you refer to him a "Shitter??" LOL!!!
Seriously though...he is looking mighty fine. :)

He is as cute as a button!! I just love the look of that colt's eye...not to mention the rest of him. He's gonna be a good one.
