The only thing better than getting to spend the day at a rodeo...
Is getting to head to the bar later for a dance...
Even if it is a 50 mile drive to get there-LOL. I love this little bar in the middle of nowhere. The band is awesome and the people are just good old-fashioned rancher/cowboy types.
It's like stepping back in time to when I was growing up and my own home town used to have a lot of dances. People came from everywhere to dance, socialize and have a good time. Ahhh, the good old days...it's nice to know that things haven't completely changed.

Don't you just love places like that?
I'm so jealous! I want to go too!! *whine snivel* I need to get out more. That place is perfect, love the band!!
I love bars like that! Nothing like a good country band playing, some dancing and beer! Wish we had one like that around here!
Sounds like a fun time!!! Our little town used to have dances all the time - but I think they have been all cancelled now.
I used to go to a place like that. Good old dancing. The last time I went back, they only played country music until midnight and then came the ghetto crowd. Sigh......Look like you guys had a blast!!
Are you a good two stepper? That kinda bar feels a million miles away from my reality...but also a piece of me... thanks for sharing.
Oh how I miss my dancing days LOL!!! Thanks for the trip down memory lane :) We do still get to do a million rodeo's though, so at least that hasn't changed!! The best dancing we get is under the stars with the truck radio on!!
What fun! Glad you got to let your hair down!
LOL-Horse Crazed...I am. Being able to do all the dances is a big thing in my family and my dad made sure to start us all young.
Ohhhh you are so lucky! There is a little bar like that near us (well 20 miles away is considered near) but we hardly ever get to go.
That way I get to get in my dancing and "going-out time" when I am traveling.....
Oh how I wish My Man and I could join ya!!! Dancing is my next favorite thing after riding...we don't get to do it too much anymore...yep, it's that 45 miles to town thing here too! And, most of the time, they roll up the sidewalks by 8 pm!
