It's A Bird...

It's a plane...

It's the "Sky King" come to visit...

Now this is something you just don't usually see landing in your pasture everyday...

Teeheehee...It's my neighbor stopping for a quick visit. These are the people who run cattle at the river ranch and he was flying the property checking fences and water. The cows are coming this weekend!

I may be your only reader who thinks this is TOTALLY normal. I even get pictures from my nutjob neighbor, who takes pics of me in the pool, drinking beer, talking on the phone and reading a book. The pics show up in my mailbox like some weird blackmail scam

OMG! I just made a Poor girls pool in my back yard! I hope the planes I see aren't looking in my back yard! lol! Hey How are you! Missed you, looks like I am in time to see the newest baby!

Couldn't imagine a plane landing in my backyard! At least you know who they are!
We live close to a small airport, we get alot of planes flying overhead, especially the ones that fly in formation of 15! During the airshow in July, it gets air crazy around here! The military base isn't far either, so we get the military jets that fly loud and fast overhead! But no landings!

That's hilarious!!! The most we get is the annual crop duster...Which last year he flew so close to the ground over one of my 2 year old fillies and she ran through a fence and peeled the hide right off her face, right down to the bone...Wasn't pretty...We got lucky with no infection which meant no surgery!!!

Cool Pictures!! Not everyone gets to see those kinds of things!!

lol!! At the house where my hubby grew up in, they had an airplane hanger and runway for one of their dear friends. It was always fun to watch them take off and land and fly around. Great people those airplane flyers are :)

Must be nice to say "oh well...my place is so big I check the fences by plane..." wow!

That's on the list of things to do out at my parent's place too....

Those pictures made me nervous, because we just had a plane like that crash a few miles from us, killing everyone on board. The pilot was flying low over a cattle branding party and lost control of the plane. On Monday my son went to his bus stop and found out that his friend's mother was killed in that crash, and she was also a bus driver for the school district.

I have had pilots of small planes fly low over me and circle me when I have been out riding the horses. I always wondered if they were watching me or just happened to be buzzing the area. I have also had hot air balloons come down real low while I've been riding my horses, and the people in the basket yelled out hello to me.

I've flown with the "Sky King" a couple of times and I love it! Except the time he "dropped" off the edge of a cliff. I was screaming like a little girl. He thought it was hilarious. I waited until he landed to punch him in the arm-LOL.
I bet if I ask he will take me up again this summer and I can get some awesome pictures.

SK is very careful around the horses and cows with the plane. He can glide right over the top of you without a sound. That's how I met him the first time. I kept seeing this plane flying over the ranch and one day I'm in the round corral working a horse and look up to see this plane gliding over me. The horse didn't spook, but I did-LOL. He landed and introduced himself. He's quite the deal!

He's actually wrecked this plane once. Yea...and I still went flying with him, not too smart am I? No, he is an amazing pilot. He just tipped her over while landing one time. Got to bouncing around when he hit a rough patch in the field and dipped a wing into the dirt. He said he was upside down so fast it took him a second or two to realize what happened.

That's so great that he is respectful to the livestock!! Definitely don't get that niceness around here!!

Isn't that the coolest? People just fly in and say howdy. You gotta love it. The world sure has changed..

When we were dating Wade came over in a black helicopter with a friend of his. I laughed so hard because crazy neighbor was here then and he thought it was the feds coming for him. ROTFL!

If only that could happen every day... :)

My Dad and my Uncle both have planes that they fly the ranch with checking on cows, horses, and fences. It's pretty cool.

Oh what fun!! How cool that the neighbor has a plane!! He must have some serious fence if he is checking it in a plane!!

Ha! Far from normal in my opinion, but totally, totally cool that a neighbour would just 'fly in'!
