We are home...Home SWEET Home.
Don't ask me how we could travel 1200+ miles and miss meeting any of the blogger friends I would so have loved to meet in REAL LIVE PERSON...but we did.
I tell ya, the last 85 miles...pure torture.
I have lousy pictures, but we had a great time. Ca-Ching, add 3 more states to my list of places I have been and different routes through other states I have already visited. What a beautiful country we live in. Even in March-probably the ugliest month of the year. Well, at least the ugliest month of the year for the states that actually have seasons, besides nice and HOT...
Missed you guys. I told Chris-next time, we are planning better. Teeheeee-yea, that probably won't happen. Planning isn't a strong suit when it comes to "road-tripping". But that is the beauty of it.
If we had been able to manage one more day-we would have had to coin toss between heading north to see Ezra or south to see Mrs Mom. Luckily, we had to get home on schedule-that would have been too hard to choose after talking to both of those lovely ladies on the phone. I hope I didn't come off sounding like a freak, as fast as I was talking. I was just so excited to actually get to talk to you guys. You both rock!!
Now don't think I didn't think about lots of you guys that I knew were nearby. I actually took notes of things that crossed my mind as we drove.
Feels like I have been gone a lot longer than I have. Was glad to get the heck out of here. Even happier to get home.
My dogs were exceedingly happy to see "momma". Megan decided to spend the night with grandma-so won't see her until tomorrow. And I get to inspect Shooter's front leg in the daylight. Sounds like the neighbor's dog got after him and he must have tried to jump the fence and didn't make it. Megan and mom reassured me that he is not seriously injured, but I have fence to fix and the neighbor to talk to right off the bat tomorrow morning.
Gee-It's good to be home!!

Welcome BACK, BABY! YOU? Sound like a freak? Let me tell ya girl, We had just gotten home from a l-o-n-g ass day under new horses who had not been done in a WHILE. A long WHILE. So I was dead beat, and thinking you probably thought I was a dolt! HA~ I did get the horses fed the rest of the way though, and finally DID get to eat something myself too lol...
Hope Shooter is OK there. Smack them Hams on him from me as you check him out, and let him know his long-distance Auntie still loves him ;)
Glad that you are home. Can't wait to hear how the adventures went, and SOMETIME, SOMEDAY, we will meet up! ;) (Mikey wants us to head out by her to live,.... hehehe.... maybe the three of us can hook up some day! --- Oh. Wait. We might want to really check where we meet, cause I'm not much on getting invited to leave places.. lmao!)
Hi HoneyMan!
I don't care how much fun you had, being home is the best feeling in the world. You'll have to make s stop here on your way to Mikey's.
No matter how good the trip/vacation is, its always nice to be home :)
Glad you made it back safe and sound! Can't wait to see all the pictures.
And ya know, meeting up with people is harder than it looks! I met Carmon from Life at Star's Rest today, and then slept the rest of the day. I was exhausted. Bet you are too! Good to be home though, there's no place like home...
Yes, it's always nice to finally get back home after long trips. That stinks about your bad pictures!! Mine always turn out lousy, so I definitely feel you. You were thinking YOU sounded like a freak?? LOL. I was worried about the same thing. I giggle like a little school girl sometimes when I'm nervous and I was a little nervous (excited) so I thought I would be the one sounding kooky. lol And if you had an extra day and had to pick between me and Mrs. mom, save your coin toss, GO SOUTH!! I sure would! lol Our weather is ridiculous, get into the warm!!
It sounds like you guys had some fun. I'm not one for planning things either. I never have luck and my plans are always ruined, so I've given up with that and we usually just wing it too. At least then you can't be disappointed. :))
Hope Shooters ok.
Glad you are home, safe and sound!
Great to have you back! Hope your little monkey is okay! Dont you just love a good road trip? Sounds like you had a great time.
Thank you for your comment on my resistance post. I will ALWAYS remember that!! I think that would be a really effective way evaluating a horse's natural tendancy! I worked with a clydesdale today with a head the size of a... well.... I cant think of anything that big... but lets just say it was huge! Yet, she moved off that pressure so lightly! It was a welcome relief.
Thanks!
Glad you are back! I want to hear all about it! Am catching up on posts so if you wrote about your trip already I will read it hear in a minute.
Glad you're back! We missed your posts! Can't wait to see the picture- even if they suck. (which they prolly don't!)
WELCOME BACK!! Sounds like a fun filled trip! Sorry you didn't get to meet them!
Hope Shooter's okay.
