You Knew It Was Coming...Right???

I bet you guys thought I was gonna come back a ranting and a raving...I thought about it. But why? We all know the problems surrounding the mustang debate.

Sooooooo....

Instead, I pulled out a project I started a few years ago...

And decided it was time to start working on it again. I just have to finish baby Moon's face and that little strip at the bottom and I can finally get my portrait of Woofer and Moon framed. If the darn wind keeps blowing like it has been, I think I am going to go crazy. The temperatures are nice enough, but the wind makes it too miserable to do anything outside. I soooo want to get back to riding. Is this winter over yet??

I also have some awards to post...Thanks guys...er...gals.;)

I love the picture! I wish I had the time to put into something like that. You must feel such a great sense of accomplishment from working on that.

Nice painting. If you don't use it, you lose it, and I'm afraid I lost it a long time ago. I haven't painted for probably 25-30 years. I do other creative things, but that one is gone forever.

Hope you get a break in the weather soon. Otherwise, you may have to take a sanity break and come to Texas!

Nice painting - you did a great job! I hear ya on the wind and the cold. Not nice at all. Good time to do other things like paint!

SO BECG... tell me now how much of my pennies to save up sos we can hire you to do a painting of Sonny Buns? ;)

I empathize with you on the winds girl. That is enough to make anyone batty. Hoping that things settle down for you out there, and remember, there is room on the coast here ifn y'all need to warm up some!

Gorgeous painting. I love the colors. My sister did an oil of my old mare hanging her head out of the old barn dutch door and it's just wonderful. No picture can capture what a painting does.

I grew up in Kansas where the wind is constant. When I moved to a much-less windy state it took me awhile to figure out the "weird" feeling I was experiencing was not having the wind constantly rattling and whistling. I missed it. I still miss it and sometimes crave a really windy day.

That's beautiful! I think you need to do more of them.

Girl you are talented! Looks great, can't wait to see the finished project!

Girl this wind here today is just blooming miserable! I was planning to ride, but this wind would make it miserable! Supposed to be better tomorrow! Fingers crossed, cause mommma needs some saddle time!

Question: How old where you when you broke your first horse? Shoot me a email if you don't mind at kdwhorses@embarqmail.com.

Beautiful! I hear ya on the whole Mustang Deal and slaughter. Lots of problems in that area.

I do have a Mustang - she was given to me - I figured I'd break her and sell her but there was something about that intelligence. She is, bar none, the best saddle horse I've ever had and the quickest to train however - but nothing about her is 'wild'.

Beautiful painting!! You have to show it to us after it's finished and framed...I'd like to see what frame you pick. Sometimes framing is half the art!
