She's A Pretty Cool Kid

She's growing up...
Way too fast!!!

She shows horses...

And teaches em' tricks...

She even shows cats...

And likes to play with snakes...

Takes beautiful photos...

And now that she's in High School, she is stealing my barrel horse...

Hey, where do you think you are going with my horse?

Where on earth does the time go???

Oh man, this post has me thinking...right now I'm mostly concerned with raising a baby, but I haven't even started to consider high school and beyond!! I hope my girl is as well-rounded as yours! Btw, what a cool horse trick! How long did that take to master?

Time flies. Take lots of pictures and enjoy every moment you can. I got awful busy at times, just keeping a roof over our heads, but always, always included Megan in everything I could.

Her bowing trick started out as a stretching exercise, a treat between the front legs, and she just kept taking it to the next level. Pretty soon that crazy paint horse of hers was just about standing on his head. Once he got that limber she just picked up his front foot and asked him to stretch for the treat, while holding his leg. Now he just bows. There are more photos on the "Paint Horse Brigade" post on the right hand side of the main page. She is going even farther with him.

She is a beautiful girl!! You have done a fantastic job raising her. I love her horse tricks!! I need to teach some of those to my horse. She is lucky to have a good mom like you. A mom who lets her run off with your barrel horse!! :)

Megan sounds like a down to earth girl, savvy, talented girl! And she's so beautiful, too! Good job, mom! ;)
You have to get Megan to post a tutorial on teaching horses to bow!

My step son is a junior this year and then little cowgirl is in 1st grade! I don't even want to think about her being in HS yet! But the way time is flying~it seems it is going to get here faster than I want it too!!

She has left the building on your horse! LOL! She looks good on him!!

Give yourself a pat on your back for doing a great job!

Megan is beautiful! My own Girl is now 30 and has given me a grandson just 6 weeks ago. My own little cowboy in a kit! I took my girl everywhere with me. Now I tell everyone I couldn't afford to go to a horse trainer so I raised my own! She keeps me sane!
I actually have two daughters- grown up and moved on now- but just wait- the next generation is just as much fun!
PS- I didn't know they had boneless cat competitions!

Vaquerogirl-I just about spit coffee all over the keyboard. Boneless cat competitions=LMAO. Yes, that describes that cat to a tee!!
