Hair Removal

This is what I did today(Ten head all together)...

First we have to make sure it really isn't a piece of cake(like you fatties need something else to eat)...

I had to back away quickly and snap a pic. The brushing must have felt good...

Because she was coming back for more...

Me too??....

And then there is Bunny. OMG this mare's name cracks me up, because she is more like a Sherman Tank than a Bunny...

Definately, a Sherman Tank...Oops, me thinks "Bunny" needs those toes trimmed...

Ten pounds of hair and four newly manicured toes later, Bunny is resigned to her fate. It is corral city for this mare and one of her sisters. They haven't lost any weight this winter and with green grass coming, they will get even more obese.
And just for good measure, I fixed the pipe fence in one of the corrals. It was coming down in one of the corners. My mommy is happy...
Oh yea - no more of those lice thingies on the horses. I found a few ticks,, but the Poridon worked on whatever those other things were...

I admire your stamina. My arm is in pain after currying just one horse.

My herd could use some major hair removal. The places they rolled are all covered in hair. Friday will be farrier day and maybe after that I'll get time to tackle hair. But I'm not complaining, I'm so glad it's spring.

You and me both MiKael...

NM - my arms are aching - my hands are worse though - that pipe fence was a pain in the butt.

Oh hair removal time! I brush all mine in the evenings when I feed them. Our oldest horse doesn't shed real well and I brush so much hair off him, you would think he would be bald! I can say it is very relaxing and great thereapy to brush them! I have a couple that follow we around begging to be brushed! About time to start braiding manes and tails! Yeah, come on Spring!
